This policy supplements our Privacy Policy. It explains what cookies are, exactly which ones we use and why, and how you can control them. We keep our list short on purpose.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They let a site remember things between pages and visits — that you are signed in, which language you chose, or that you have been here before. In this policy, "cookies" also covers similar technologies such as local storage, pixels, and embedded scripts that serve the same purposes.
Cookies can be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (kept until they expire or you delete them), and they can be first-party (set by qasseti.com) or third-party (set by a provider we use, such as Google). Depending on their purpose, cookies may record things like the pages you visit, the time and length of your visit, your IP address, and your browser and device type.
2. The Cookies We Use
We use cookies in six categories. Where the law requires consent for non-essential cookies, we ask for it before setting them.
Strictly Necessary
Required for the Services to work at all: signing you in and keeping your session secure, remembering your cookie choices, protecting against fraud and abuse, and balancing load across our infrastructure. These cannot be switched off — without them, the Services do not function.
Functional
Remember the choices you make so you don’t have to make them again — most importantly your language (the site is available in 12 languages) and interface preferences — and power the live chat widget (Tawk.to) on our website. These make the Services more convenient but are not strictly required.
Analytics
Help us understand how the website and Services are used — which pages are visited, how long visits last, where errors occur, and where visitors come from — so we can improve them. We use Google Analytics for this. Analytics data is not used to build advertising profiles of you.
Error Monitoring
When something breaks, Sentry captures technical details of the error (the page, browser, and what went wrong) so we can reproduce and fix it. This is diagnostic data, not marketing data.
Payments
When you pay for a subscription, our payment processor Paystack sets cookies needed to process the transaction securely and detect fraudulent payment attempts. These operate only in the checkout flow.
Advertising Measurement
We advertise QAI on Google. If you arrive via one of our ads, Google sets a cookie that tells us the ad worked — this measures our campaigns and caps how often ads are shown. We also use ClickCease to detect fraudulent or bot clicks on our ads. We do not run third-party ad networks on our site, and we do not sell your data to advertisers.

4. Managing Your Preferences
4.1 Browser Settings
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings, either entirely or per site. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Services — including signing in — will stop working. Cookie choices are per browser and per device, and are reset if you clear your cookies.
4.2 Provider Opt-Outs
You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) and manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com. The options for each provider are listed in the table above.
4.3 Do Not Track
Because there is no common standard for interpreting them, our Services do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals. Use the browser controls and opt-outs above instead.
5. Changes to This Policy
If we change the cookies we use or add a provider, we will update this policy and the "Last Updated" date above, and give prominent notice of material changes on our website.
